Motorcycle Training Weston-super-Mare
CBT, DAS and Post Test training
Live to ride, but always ride to live!
What is direct access?
Direct access (DAS) is a scheme which allows a person over the age of 21 to avoid the two year/25 kW restriction by taking a test on a machine of at least 35 kW (46.6 bhp).
Requirements before taking a DAS Course.
- A current provisional licence, showing category 'A', or a full car licence.
- A current DL 196 (CBT) certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
You can take your DAS course with us at Road to Freedom on one of our bikes.
The DAS course will be tailored to suit your needs. An experienced rider may only need 2 or even just 1 day to prepare for the test, but a novice will need up to 5, occassionally even more.
Why not take a free 1 hour assessment ride with us, and we will discuss what we believe you need.
What is Accellerated Access?
Accellerated access is the same as Direct Access, except it is for people who have already passed the Standard or Small motorcycle test, so is likely to require less training.
This may be because you reach the age of 21 before your 2 year restriction ends, or you have now found the confidence to give a big bike a go.
