So, you are looking for some motorcycle training, so why choose us.
Road to Freedom was opened at the begining of 2006, and from the start has been based at Morse's Motorcycles. Clive started with 3 training bikes as a one man operation, but we have quickly moved on to currently having 10 training bikes, and 3 instructors.
R2F was set up by Clive Leech, with a lot of help from John Morse and the staff of Morses Motorcycles. Clive had recently retired from Avon Fire Brigade, where he had over 20 years experience as a watch instructor and gained Health and Safety as well as other fire service related qualifications, and decided to combine these skills with his passion for biking. After retiring he spent a considerable amount of both time and money to become fully qualified with the DSA, not only to instruct students at CBT level, but also to teach Direct Access, and to teach and qualify others as CBT instructors.
Since opening, he has quickly gained a reputation as a calm, friendly, patient, and very successful instructor.
In June 2006, Clive was joined by Ray, who had recently moved to Weston after retiring in Derby. Ray has many years experience as a motorcycle instructor in Derby, and has the same thorough, calm and friendly approach to students as Clive. Ray has now retired from instructing.
Then, towards the end of July 2006, we were joined by Paul. Paul also has many years experience as a motorcycle instructor, first in the Birmingham area, and then around Bridgwater and Weston. Like Clive and Ray, he receives excellent feedback from the students for his manner with the students and teaching ability.
Our philosophy is simple, to provide our customers with the best training for safe riding for life, in a friendly and positive way.
But how does all this affect your chances. Well, in 2007, we took nearly 150 new students to their practical motorcycle test, and had 83% pass first time. That is way above average.
